Yesterday, I briefly tagged the #cuttysark in a post. Not to be outdone by one of my British colleagues who was hosting the event last night and who nipped off for a sneaky picture, only to come back victorious with their beautifully framed photos, I snapped this one of her on the way back to our hotel, all lit up with nowhere to go (the ship, not the colleague).

Our watering hole yesterday evening was the Nelson Room at the #TrafalgarArms, a pub set right on the river Thames near Greenwich, and a stone's throw from the #CuttySark. Fantastic views up river, as shown here, and across to Canary Wharf and the O2 / Millennium Dome.

😄 #LondonAdmiral26
On #ThisDayInHistory in 1869, the #ClipperShip #CuttySark was launched in #Scotland. Built for the fast tea trade to Asia, then moved to the wool trade with Australia, she was one of the fastest sailing ships, and is one of only two clipper ships to survive into the 21st century.
