"Touch Me" is a song by #theDoors from their 1969 album #TheSoftParade. Written by guitarist #RobbyKrieger in late 1968, it makes extensive use of brass and string instruments, including a solo by featured saxophonist #CurtisAmy. It was released as a single in December 1968 and reached No. 3 on the #Billboard #Hot100 (their last Top Ten hit in the US) and No. 1 in the #Cashbox #Top100 in early 1969 (the band's third American number-one single).

Curtis Amy & Frank Butler - Groovin' Blue

Appropriate to feature Saxophonist Amy with Drummer Butler, as this is a swinging set from 1960.

Don't be fooled by the "Pacific Jazz" label - this is definitely not a "West Coast Jazz" style record.

Joining Amy & Butler are Carmel Jones (trumpet), Bobby Hutcherson (vibes), Frank Strazzeri (piano) and Jimmy Bond (bass).

"Jazzman" is a 1974 song performed by #CaroleKing, from her album #WrapAroundJoy. King composed the music for the song, while #DavidPalmer (formerly of #SteelyDan) wrote the lyrics. The song is best known for its lengthy #saxophone solos, performed by #TomScott, while King sings an ode to 'the Jazzman' and the effect he has on her. #CurtisAmy, saxophonist, composer, and former musical director for the Ray Charles band, was the 'jazz man' of the song.
