Got new curtains to replace the wool ones I made a century ago. Even though I didn’t measure, cut, and sew these I still have to iron all 4 of the ginormous light blocking blighters before it hits 90 this week.

Confession, for years I had candy colored sewing pins in the white cotton lining of my brown felt wool coating drapes vs an actual hem. The curtains were cut to fit - no hem needed.
