For all y'all who boycott self checkout because you don't want cashiers to lose their jobs...

This is a picture of the vertical carts that store staff use to shop online orders for curbside pickup and delivery. This new role is seeing greater job growth than the decline in cashier jobs.

Each cart has four shelves where each shelf is divided into three sections. One person can gather multiple orders more efficiently than shopping each order separately. As an in-store shopper, I often see these being pushed around the store.

I'm an old. When ATMs were introduced, there was a panic about the job loss that would impact bank tellers. It turned out that banks could create smaller branches in more locations, and more new teller jobs were created than were lost.

Maybe there’s still good coffee to be found in Birmingham. However, this coffee truck is only open from Monday to Friday, so I can only visit it on my days off.

Ok.. so at least for the short term I'm afraid #Aldi has to go to second tier #grocery list.

Last week they couldn't find someone to pick my #curbside order and held my money for 10 days.

Okay fine so I'll just go get the stuff myself.

But no.
I understand difficulties shortages yada yada but out of bread, mayonnaise, salsa, and a whole lot of basic things just doesn't cut it.

Love ya Aldi but ya need to get your mess together..

Placed order at 6:30am for pickup at 6pm.

5:45pm: We have no one to pick your order.

5:50pm: order cancelled.

10 days from now: I get my money back.

It appears doing this in the morning is much more fruitful than doing it in the evening at least this time. Kind of grinds on you a bit they want to hold onto your money for so long but they can so they will..
