Modernisierung: Queen Mary 2 bekommt 30 neue Kabinen

Die Queen Mary 2 ist der letzte Oceanliner unserer Zeit. Seit 2004 ist das Schiff bei Cunard im Dienst. Im kommenden Jahr wird die "QM2" umfassend modernisiert und erhält in dem Zuge auch 30 zusätzliche Kabinen.

#RMSLusitania was torpedoed and sank off the coast of #Ireland on #ThisDayInHistory in 1915, taking almost 1200 souls with her. #Lusitania sank so fast most lifeboats didn't launch. The #Cunard #OceanLiner was illegally smuggling weapons along with her civilian passenger service.

One of my favourite #OceanLiners, #RMSAquitania, was launched on #ThisDayInHistory in 1913. With a service life running from 1914 to 1950, #Cunard's stately and handsome #Aquitania worked as a troopship during both World Wars & was the last four-stack liner working the Atlantic.
