Its entry into institutional life has seen it turned it into a concept that allows it to be appropriated by the very powers that dominate the culture wars. Critique of Israel’s genocide in Palestine and gestures of solidarity with the Palestinian people have been repressed or censored using Cultural Safety as justification.
