BizOneness: Harmonized Codes and String Formatting

I've been explaining formatting in the last few regular columns, only to be interrupted by last week's special edition. Using one detail of that special edition, I'd like to discuss what happens when you have to customize formatting using string manipulation.

I have created an #XSLT that takes #XML-formatted label printing instructions from a #CrystalReports output, and transforms it into #Loftware label printer XML input.

Why?

Because apparently, CrystalReports can't print Russian onto paper. But it can put it into XML. And Loftware has no problem reading and printing it.

Score!
