☠️ Death is the only certainty in life.
It is a concept we often avoid, yet it remains the singular constant for every one of us.
Over the years I have explored and photographed many locations associated with this finality. My visits took me through crematoriums, mortuaries, and chapels of rest. I also frequent old crypts and overgrown graveyards, finding peace and beauty among these resting places.

Mausoleum K. A striking Neoclassical rotunda, featuring a dome of coffered panels with a central opening (or oculus). Light floods in through this opening, illuminating the above-ground part of the mausoleum.
A wide stone staircase, with an ornate metal railing, following this pathway leads down to the undercroft. The underground area of this mausoleum holds the coffins of the family.
