The City of Alameda recently received the League of American Bicyclists’ Gold-level Bicycle Friendly Community Award. Alameda’s journey to this honor reflects a decade of steady progress, starting with a Bronze Award in 2016 and a Silver Award in 2021. https://alamedapost.com/news/alameda-wins-gold-bicycle-friendly-community/

Delivery truck drivers were regularly parking in the #crossalamedatrail despite the availability of nearby street parking and the parking lot behind the building. TY to everyone who filed SeeClickFix tickets about the issue, and to Alameda’s Public Works for adding the flexposts. Seems to be working well so far.
Bike and red arrow signals along the #crossalamedatrail at Webster and Wilma Chan are going on today! These (and the new ones at Main) are not quite working right yet, but should be soon! 😻
Engineers are at work right now activating the bike signals along the #crossalamedatrail at Main! More coming soon. What a holiday season it will be!
Spotted along the #CrossAlamedaTrail at Wilma Chan Way today 😊

Alameda just got a little more bike friendly! Ken Der attends the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the latest Cross Alameda Trail segment: a brand new, 0.7-mile stretch along Clement Avenue that includes separated two-way bike lanes.

Come on out tomorrow to cheer more #crossalamedatrail. We’ll meet at City Hall (at Santa Clara and Oak) at 4:30pm to ride over together to the Clement Avenue Ribbon Cutting Celebration (at Broadway and Clement) at 5pm.

Hope to see you there!
