Okay, this looks like a proper mess: One week after #China changed its definition of a positive case for #Covir19 and the rise in the numbers of infected slowed down, it bumps up by 15'000 in a single day. China claims that is due to new methods to detect people infected. Also more than 240 people died. This #Coronavirus is not under any kind of control.
How is a reasonable human being supposed to react to a Swiss dude who is blindly parroting the views and numbers of #Beijing on the #Covir19 outbreak, who sees the #WHO's numbers as the pure truth and who denounces any reports from #Taiwan on this matter as biased #propaganda? There are many, many links between Taiwan and #China, be it on a personal level, be it via Weibo and there is no language barrier. Media in Taiwan are in fact the most likely to get the full picture. #Coronavirus
It's common knowledge in #statistics and social sciences that once you start measuring or counting a phenomenon, you are NOT supposed to change the definition of a variable or the criteria, or the resulting numbers become worthless and meaningless. As per February 6th #China has decided to change the definition of «confirmed cases» with #Covir19, ignoring clear rules as stated by #WHO. An utterly #irresponsible attempt by #Beijing to save face. #Coronavirus
Here's the daily update on the spreading of #2019nCov aka #Covir19 in #China and beyond.
The growth in the number of confirmed cases has slowed down - but that is mainly due to the fact that China's CCP has decided to change the way they are counted: People who have been testes positively for the virus but have no symptoms are no confirmed cases anymore.
As for the casualties, we've reached 100 per day as new normal.
Does this look good? Up to you to decide. #Coronavirus
