I went to one of Sen Merkley's town halls, and more than what was said (though some good things were discussed), the most amazing thing to me was that 2-4 people in each 80 person seating block were wearing respirators (high quality masks).

That is a TON of folks for where I live. I cried happy tears. It wasn't the Senator or most of the staff (yet?), but it was still beautiful.

If you know of any legit Covid/Long Covid charities, feed those links to the greedy links monster (me) and/or tag #CovidSafeScouts so maybe I’ll be motivated to do some Giving Tuesday posts on the proper channel.

Will probably expand to include the clean air libraries and mask blocs to encourage donations. If someone wants to say things about whether those sorts of orgs do tax receipts and whatnot that often serve as motivation for donations, say those things at me.

I went to https://www.mrpatch.com/ and ordered some new #CovidSafeScouts badges. This time I'm going with the "Vaccinated to the Max" badge; also because kid1 has lots of shots this year (dyptheria, typhoid, pertussis booster; HPV; chicken pox; all on top of flu and covid) and they hate shots.
