Input opportunity 📣 We've been asked to share a new initiative by a research team at UBC. Right now, they're setting priorities for new research around "healthcare barriers related to respiratory infection risk" - and they want to hear from people across BC about what to focus on!

Do you live with chronic physical health conditions that increase risks from respiratory infections? Are you a family member, caregiver, or advocate for people with chronic physical health conditions? Your input can help shape future research projects!

Manurewa High School to shut early, with too many staff sick

A large South Auckland high school will close early on Friday because it does not have enough teachers present - again.

RNZ

Maybe if we decided to improve air quality in schools, health care and other shared spaces, we could improve the situation.

We have the knowledge and technology. Air quality monitoring, clear rules for ventilation and filtering of air, expanding access to vaccines and treatments, and making masking normal and acceptable would not only reduce the incidence of covid, but also every airborne disease. And clean air increases cognitive performance.

It's really not that hard. We just need to adapt and accept the science. đŸ€·
