Maybe because I’m an American who is subjected to these fascist Stepford bitches on the daily, but when women spokespersons have that long, curling-ironed “beachy waves” hair I immediately suspect subterfuge. Also, #CovidAintOver https://aus.social/@DenisCOVIDinfoguy/115997946817477495

"Australian Winter Olympics team staff test positive for COVID-19 ahead of 2026 Milan-Cortina Games." Two staff members with Australia’s Winter Olympic team tested positive for COVID-19 in late January. Both were symptomatic, are not competing, and measures are in place to contain any further spread. "Close contacts of the two positive cases were immediately tested. They returned negative results and were administered anti-virals." You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that #COVID ain't over.

#CovidAintOver

Thinking the pandemic ended because you stop collecting data is wishful magical thinking, like gathering to pray tornadoes and hurricanes away.

Sorry, but real life doesn't respect a choice to embrace ignorance, superstition, and greed.

#MaskUp people, because #CovidAintOver and is in fact ramping back up...
and especially because #LongCovidSucksAndYouDoNotWantIt!

How to navigate renewed COVID threat in the Bay Area — San Francisco Chronicle

UPDATE: Rising COVID cases prompt Bay Area hospital to reinstate mask mandate A local theater troupe cancels a weekend of performances because cast members have COVID. A Sunday luncheon is postponed because the hostess has fallen ill. A colleague catches the coronavirus on a trip back from Italy. The nearby Walgreens is sold out of home test kits.

Anybody else experience #PulsatileTinnitus post-covid? I feel almost completely back to normal (first symptoms were March 8). But I get this fluttering sound/feeling in my right ear every time I lie down. It doesn't interfere with hearing and is not painful or even uncomfortable -- just super annoying! The oracle (internet) names it "pulsatile #tinnitus."

Bueller?

“Many people living in the community who were not hospitalized for #COVID-19 still experience symptoms 1- and 3-months post infection. These data suggest that additional supports, for example access to rehabilitative care, are needed to help some individuals fully recover.”

Persistent COVID-19 symptoms in community-living older adults from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) - Communications Medicine

Griffith et al. report COVID-19 symptom persistence in a national population-based cohort over 50 years old in Canada. These data allow the authors to estimate the background symptom prevalence in the cohort, given not everyone had COVID-19, but also to explore a broader range of pre-pandemic risk factors for post-acute COVID-19 symptom persistence.

1. Politicians need to be frank
2. Avoiding infections is still important

Viewpoint: Three years into the pandemic, it's clear COVID won't fix itself. What we need to focus on next

On March 11 2020 the World Health Organization classified COVID as a pandemic. Three years on, it remains just that.
