Kinda defeating the purpose of getting the kit in the first place, I'm sat with half an eye on the TV and working on the lock picking practice set. I'm up to 4 pins and slowly starting to get a feel for the process. So far, it's just the plain pins, no security pins added yet, but I think I'm getting the hang of things.
And that's my first disc detainer lock! Just a cheap lock to start, moving on to more difficult ones before I tackle an abloy.
Covert Instruments has a new toy that I want to get. But I've had a lot of expenses lately so gonna have to hold off with that for now.

I got the FNG lock pick kit! Oh man, this is going to be a fun toy. It's really useful to be able to see into the lock, but I've actually already popped this lock a few times! I'm gonna have to cover this up with something or put my hands under a blanket so I can't look at the pins and try it..
(Yes, I know that tool in the center needs to be separated. It's already been done)

LOL no way it was that easy. has to have been beginner’s luck. that seriously only took me all of maybe 30 seconds to open after watching the instructional video. thanks for the fantastic tool #CovertInstruments
snagged a (totally!) tubular lock pick from #CovertInstruments but forgot to get the practice lock. that’s in the mail now. these lishi keys made picking standard locks trivial so I wanted a new challenge.
