How I make the cover artworks for my music - Q-Day [Cover Art Timelapse]

Stream the CTRL album on: • MOULE WORLD Music: https://music.moule.world/ctrl • Bandcamp: https://moule.bandcamp.com/album/ctrl + Numerous other streaming services! //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// It started off simple; I had the idea of a padlock unlocking and breaking a chain link, which I quickly designed, as well as a 2048-bit semiprime and its prime factors (the building blocks of RSA encryption) already calculated but was unsure how to include them in this cover artwork, which as you can see I put all over the place before finally deciding to have the semiprime above and prime factors below. For more detailed parts, I had to research some fundamental quantum mechanics concepts, such as Schrödinger's equation and quantum wave functions – I'd like to thank @domainofscience for his videos helping me understand quantum mechanics better! I had to manually type some letters into Assembly, the graphic design app I use for iOS, as it doesn't support LaTeX or easier ways to show equations and formulae. As this cover artwork's creation progressed, it only got laggier and laggier due to more elements being added. Originally mostly black, yellow and white, I made a purple-yellow gradient and mixed my yellow cover art with this gradient in Enlight (now Photofox). (Note: I had to mute some parts of the video because YouTube mistakenly considered those parts to be the Tachycardia mix of The Dust of Basement's track "Inside", a track I'd never heard of (though it's a banger!) and believe they don't sound similar.) //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Follow me on the Fediverse: https://mastodon.moule.world/@MOULE All MOULE links: https://moule.world

How I make the cover artworks for my music - Glitchnastics [Cover Art Timelapse]

(Warning: Rapidly-changing imagery in video) Stream Glitchnastics ⏩ https://hyperfollow.com/moule/glitchnastics //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Hey everyone! Here's how I made Glitchnastics' cover artwork. I started out with a design asset of OpDaMyZr that I designed for the cover artwork of my track "HASTY HASTY HASTY HASTY", redesigning him so he appears to fall backwards as a "glitchnastics" trick where he falls through the floor to pass a level. I got stuck on what to do next before eventually deciding "let the glitches take it from here", so I made a glitchy pixel background with Pixel Studio on my iPad. It's the same app I used to make the cover artwork for "Smashing Boxes" a while back and as of recently "Kaizopocalypse"'s one as well. Pixel art was the best style to choose for this artwork as it matches with the computery, distorted bleep-bloop feel of this track, as if one was wiggling the RAM module, corrupting the BIOS, converting a file to a .txt and adding gibberish everywhere then converting it back to its original format so it's glitchy, or otherwise manipulating hardware or software to cause glitch effects. This cover artwork was very quick to make, about 1.5 hours. Usually it takes me from 3-5 hours to design one cover artwork, depending on how much characters, details, or different techniques need to be added to create it. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Follow me on the Fediverse (read https://fedi.tips for an intro to it): ⏩ https://mastodon.moule.world/@MOULE ⏪ All MOULE links: ⏩ https://MOULE.WORLD ⏪
