Photogrammetry scan of a local church ruin/ castle. I'm getting the hang of it, and this was a nice challenge with the three indoor rooms: https://skfb.ly/pGWFo

St Catherine’s Church and attached towerhouse received a grant for restoration from the Heritage Council not so long ago, and the difference really shows. I was there, when they celebrated receiving it, and the whole west part (the towerhouse part) was covered in ivy. On the other hand, I was able to go up the internal stairs to photograph the murder hole at the time which is now no longer possible. However, walls have been repointed etc. SMR no. (church): KK009-048001- , SMR no. (towerhouse): KK009-048002- 480 photos with DJI Mini 4K, processed by KiriEngine. - Rathbeagh: St Catherine's Church and towerhouse - Download Free 3D model by b-unicycling

And speaking of colonised Ireland, here's a video I just finished editing for the Kilkenny Archaeological Society about Roman archaeology in Ireland: https://youtu.be/0M57pt__y6A

"Dunnamaggin is a place that you don't have to go to." is just one of the gems from my oral history interview today. I know what she means, but it's actually worth a visit, if you have an interest in #history. It has a high cross, a church ruin, a beautiful baptismal font and a holy well. It's not so bad. #CountyKilkenny #oralhistory
I've started writing Wikipedia articles about some holy wells. Pretty happy about this one which is well represented in the Schools' Collection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady%27s_Well%2C_Danesfort?wprov=sfla1
I just need to tidy the references a bit, bc some are duplicates.
