Ex-Harris County DA Kim Ogg joins Commissioner Tom Ramsey’s office as policy advisor
Ogg served as district attorney from January 2017 until December of 2024. In March 2024, Ogg was defeated by Sean Teare in the Democratic primary with a margin of more than 55 percentage points. Teare narrowly defeated Republican Dan Simons in the November general election for district attorney and was sworn into office on Jan. 1.
