38 years ago today, August 29, 1987, Keith Whitley debuted on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Would These Arms Be in Your Way”. It went on to peak at #36 and spent a total of 17 weeks on the chart.
Special Note: Just two singles later, he had a string of five #1’s starting with “Don’t Close Your Eyes”.
I’ve collected many 45 RPM singles over the years. Many of which from my years in the radio business. This is one of those.
Seeing this beautiful and full of wonderful memories "Just Sylvia" album cover from 1982 has given me some inspiration to post one of Sylvia's newer recordings/music video from her children-inspired album, "Nature Child ~ A Dreamer's Journey" which was released in 2022. She co-wrote this song, "If I Only Had Wings" with Craig Bickhardt back in the early 90s.
