A sleepy, quiet Tuesday morning with an absolute legend.

This reissue is an abridged version of the original 1964 album, as it leaves off both “Maybe Little Baby” and “New Baby For Christmas”.
Which is fine, as they’re probably the worst two songs on the album.

ALL George Jones friggin rules, but I lean more towards the 50s and 60s George with the flat-top hair than I do late 60s and 70s “possum” long hair George, even though his later period is recognized as having some of the greatest recordings of his career.

I love it all, but “Boy Scout George” is where I started as a kid, so there’s more of a sentimental attachment to that stuff.

Can’t go wrong with ANY George though.

This morning I am listening to Alberta country musician Corb Lund & his album El Viejo.

Imagine how surprised I was when I got home with this record from the record store only to learn that it was autographed.

Also look how cool this record looks?

This is probably my favorite country record in my collection.

I was busy with family that came in from Georgia yesterday, so I wasn't around to post a song, so again, this is a day behind. Poor, Poor Pitiful Me by Terri Clark is the song that got me hooked on her and her music back in the 1990's.

As is often the case, this song is very catchy, at least to me and it's just another one of those songs that grabbed me the first time I heard and has always been one of my favorites by her. Though she has made a LOT of great music over the years.
