MeDeMAP has developed a new one-page templateβa concise and accessible format designed to highlight essential insights at a glance.
π The first edition focuses on Austria, where the media landscape is facing profound challenges. The report also highlights the need to reform state subsidies to better support democratic values, innovation, and independent journalism.
More countries will join Austria soon.
π’ Exploring Media Production in Europe
We're working on country reports that will provide an analysis of media production and its connection to democratic functions. These reports are the results of two phases of data collection:
πΊ An analysis of media outlets, market structures, and options for political participation;
π₯ Interviews with public bodies, regulators, and media organizations across the EU.
