And tonight I finally get to see Evil Dead Rise. I can't wait. The countdown is over.

Evil Dead (2013) is... EVIL. And I love it - even though most of the side characters are somewhat bland behind the fantastic Jane Levy.
Evil Dead Rise better not suck tomorrow.

The continuation of THE COUNTDOWN to Evil Dead Rise... continues! Is this the most quotable film ever? Well, yes. I am not a big movie-quoter (shut up, it's a word) but I think I slip into this one whenever I get a drink in me. So it continues, THE COUNTDOWN to Evil Dead Rise! There are two movies that changed me. E.T. made me a film nerd by the age of 5 when I wasn't allowed to see it in the cinema (the age limit in Sweden was 11) so I became obsessed with it, read all I could find about the little friendly alien and this guy named Steven Spielberg. I loved movies and still do. Evil Dead 2 made me want to make films. I was fooling around with my friends in school, acting as if my hand was possessed for some reason,

So it begins, THE COUNTDOWN to Evil Dead Rise, a countdown that feels like it will take my filmmaking full circle: going from the films that influenced me to to become a filmmaker (specifically Evil Dead 2) to actually having contributed to one.
