Because of the tariffs, I paused shipping all of my winnings from UK & EU auctions for about a year. But I finally caved recently when there was a threat of bumping them to 25% from 10%, and things have started to come in. So hey yeah for lots of lots.

First up, Cotswolds Distillery. When my friend Kerrin Egalka moved from Compass Box to Cotswolds last year, I got curious. I figured if Kerrin was going there, they must be doing something good - and they are.

They're just expanding their market in the US, but don't sleep on this one. They're doing great stuff. I've been picking up older releases that didn't come to the US via auction.

This lineup is their Inaugural Release, the 2015 & 2017 Odyssey Barley, Bourbon Cask, and two Highgrove expressions - the King's Birthday Vatting and the Coronation Vatting.

On Saturday, at Julio's Liquors Whiskey Roadshow, I was able to briefly chat with our old friend Kerrin Egalka. She's late of Compass Box Whisky and now the Commercial Director at Cotswolds Distillery. I was able to try the current US lineup, as well as a couple of special bottles that Kerrin brought over for the event, and found them quite good.

Their offerings are something different, as we don't get a lot of English whisky, especially compared to Scotch, and I think very reasonably priced. Under Kerrin, expect them to build their US presence.

It was pretty busy Saturday, with the event and all, so I waited until I was back tonight and picked up the three expressions currently available.

Those would be Cotswolds Signature, Peated Cask (unpeated spirit aged in ex-peated quarter casks), and Founder's Choice (Cask Strength). They're all natural color and non-chill filtered.

I really hope we get some of the special releases in the US as well, I quite enjoyed them. (Nudge.)

I know Kerrin will be back for future events at Julio's, so if you're a local, I encourage you to watch for those and try this whisky. I'll certainly be pouring it for friends.

Compass Box's loss is certainly the Cotswolds' gain, and I wish Kerrin the best in her new role.
