Andean Cock-of-the-Rocks are often said to pair with a buddy to do their display, altho only one of them will mate if a female does happen to stumble along

in this large lek of 15+ males, i did see some buddy system going on with 2s & 3s often dancing in the same tree + i also saw 5 males in 1 tree displaying together

with the heavy forest, i struggled quite a bit just to show 2 of them together unobstructed...
