I ran into my friend peachy.possum at Anime Central this year and we did a quick 5 minute set. I used to bring a cart full of lighting stuff and set up in the parking garage at this convention but recently I've been trying more experimental things and wandering around looking for interesting natural light. It's a lot easier to get more variety if I can avoid setting up lights. Plus always nice to carry less things.

I had booked my vacation that year specifically to attend the event. While I enjoyed myself, and got a lot of photos of cosplayer, I must admit it was a too large for my taste and comfort level.

I headed to Anime Central yesterday in Chicago to to check out all the costumes and maybe approach a few strangers for 1-2 minute photos. Initially her pose was very straight but I noticed this really pretty airy movement to the outfit when she was getting into position. I think it really gives you a better sense of the material.
