Way back in 2022, I wrote up how I came to be on Mastodon: https://mweston.wordpress.com/2022/11/21/elon-musk-the-twitter-fiasco-and-mastodon/

Since then I have almost entirely left #CorporateSocialMedia. I do still have a Facebook account, but use it much less and deleted most of my personal data (education, work, etc.). I've never really used LinkedIn or YouTube as social media, but do still have those as well. I *have* closed my Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp accounts, and never had a TikTok account. I experimented with Threads and Bluesky, but have since closed those accounts as well.

I am now in the process of moving from being @mweston to this server, since in the current #PoliticalAtmosphere I wanted a non-US-based server. Consider this post, my bio, and my link tree to be my #introduction

I'm looking forward to getting used to my new home on the Fediverse!
