Half a year after 9-11, security for the company I was working for at the time were made aware that a disgruntled employee who was also a licensed single-engine pilot, was making threats about flying his plane into the corporate headquarters building downtown.
When no one could locate the pilot or the plane, the executive floor of the HQ was quietly evacuated. They told no one else working in the building.
