Yesterday I captured the Sun in a whole new light—literally. This is my first ever solar image in H-alpha using my trusty
"Coronado PST 40/400."
I’m beyond proud of the result: prominences, filaments, and sunspots all in one shot.
It’s just a single stack for now, but a double-stack upgrade is coming soon!

On Sunday it was 8 years to the day since I photographed the biggest solar #prominence I've ever seen. It was 100,000 km tall & that tiny dot is the approximate size of Earth to scale.
