Zaz: "What?"

I happened to peer into the cozy sleeping cubby area of Zaz's cat tower to see what she was up to. There is a heated pad in it that I try to stop her from sleeping directly on by wrapping it in various blankets, but she always burrows into it somehow. This time I was sure I had it fixed, by putting it into an old sweater, with just a tiny neck hole buried underneath.

And there she was, as if tucked into a warm bed, her head sticking up from the neck, just woken up, as cozy as can be.

As you can plainly see, the fluffy mat is only just big enough for one cat. Ping (Pangolin) is relegated to enjoying the floor that's warmed by the wood stove.

Battle of wills.

Zaz is so cross! She really didn't want her picture taken and did her best to make it almost impossible. She pretty much fought tooth and claw to make it hard to get this photo. She had just been fighting with a tail that didn't want to be bitten and legs that refused to be cleaned and then I came along with my phone and caught her out of sorts. She was going to make me pay and so it took about 15 photos to get this, finally! (Happily I got off mostly unscathed, don't worry.)
