August 5, 2013: the AT isn't all spectacular mountain vistas. It crosses it's share of agricultural fields, like this corn field.
It was a nice day. The weather was great, the Berkshires are easy walking, and I was in town for lunch. Next to the the restaurant was a liquor store. I bought something, and wasn't carded. This beard must make me look old.
When I got to my planned shelter, I was feeling good so I pushed on another nine miles. Should be an easy day tomorrow, where I'm planning to meet a friend in town.
