Tie on jo tovin kutitellut takaraivossa kirjana, joka etäisesti kiinnostaa, mutta kaikki mitä olen kuullut McCarthyn kirjoitustyylistä, on kuulostanut puuduttavalta. Sain maistiaisen, kun aloitin lukemaan McCarthyn Kaikki kauniit hevoset -teosta ja jätin sen kesken, koska en kestänyt tekstin raskassoutuisuutta ja puuttuvia repliikkimerkkejä 😂

Kirjastossa kuitenkin bongasin sattumalta tämän Tiestä tehdyn enkunkielisen sarjakuvasovituksen ja ajattelin, että tässäpä mahdollisesti hyvä tapa tutustua vähän kevyemmin tähän klassikkoon. Ja se oli!

Voi pojat, tämä oli hieno! Larcenetin kuvitustyyli istuu tarinan tunnelmaan täydellisesti ja vaikka tarinassa tapahtuu hyvin vähän, se kertoo paljon. Varmaan yksi aidoimman ja realistisimman tuntuisista maailmanlopun dystopioista, joita olen lukenut. Huhhuh, ei voi muuta sanoa... Vaikuttava ja koskettava!
