Now to the next mini-series, also done using Yongnuo's macro flash, attached to 20mm lens with 48mm of extension tubes. If my math is correct, this is supposedly 2,4X magnification. Funny thing is, this same lens (Voigtländer 20mm) is the one I usually use in reverse to easily get into 3,2X magnification with a reverse-ring. However, for my bad luck, the electronic reverse-ring is not designed to accommodate a macro flash at front (I did improvise a way but it's shaky and unreliable). When I shot this mini-series as well, it was cumbersome to get up close handheld instead of a rail; it wasn't steady and often I'd push the subject itself away before I can capture it.
Anyway, in this shot here, the same mint plant that I've shot before (but no ants!), and I've cropped a chunk to focus on this portion of the image only. The colors here are a result of my own touch with tone-splitting technique.
Worth noting that I've been using a somewhat new method for sharpening, in this image and some of those before 😎
