Great!
With her enthusiasm she will get everyone within minutes!
And a role model of its best especially for younger people!
I'm thinking of reactivating my balcony, even though I suffer under severe vertigo. I haven't been on my balcony for decades, so she may have done a tremendous job!

One of the most counter-intuitive justifications for refusing to stop mindlessly competing and work co-operatively toward a shared common good is that it is more of a strain, takes more effort, with less return on investment than working alone.
The rationale most often heard is that the person is sick, disabled, tired, beaten down, overwhelmed, with the implication being that somehow a shared burden is heavier?
Based on that logic, extended families, communities, tribes, villages, towns would never form except by coercion.
It is a circle that cannot be squared.

While I am deeply committed to economic democracy for social democracy, my correspondence with Professor Gordon-Nembhard and futile attempts to join and gain support from the US Federation of Worker Cooperatives, headquartered in Oakland, reveal their antipathy towards Black Trans Women.
They are not allies.
Moving on
This week, Jessica Gordon-Nembhard writes about how the first nationwide directory of worker co-ops - compiled by GEO and titled An Economy of Hope - sowed the seeds for what would eventually become the US Federation of Worker Cooperatives.

Intentional Community and Capitalism
“Capitalism isn’t just an economic system we live inside. It is a culture that lives inside of us. It influences our psychology, how we design our communities, how we relate to each other, the kind of culture we create, and what’s possible for us to do together.”

Just saw a tweet about an outfit calling itself #CooperativeCapital in #Michigan that's a Delaware LLC.
It looks like it's basically a black-led big SME and real estate investment club-ish thing aimed at making a 6% return from disinvested communities with a low ($1k) minimum investment. So probably not actively evil, but also likely in violation of #MI's #coop identity law what w/ not actually being a co-op.
The #SocialCoop hivemind have any insights?
“@nataliesurely They also might be violating Michigan's Cooperative Identity Protection Act by calling the company "#CooperativeCapital," when there is nothing on their firm's website about firm ownership or governance: https://t.co/OzORFCFlkD CC: @ErbinCrowell @fuegoside @DMoKreis”
