We Installed a GIANT Space Dome on a Mountain!
We drove from Melbourne to Toowoomba… via Coonabarabran (because apparently we can’t help turning a dome install into a full-blown road trip).
Stopped in Coonabarabran for a site visit on a future project — then headed to Mt Kent Observatory to install a brand new 4m Scopedome.
There were telescopes, late nights, too many servo pies, and one absolutely massive dome. Just another casual week in astro-land. 🔭🛻🌌

Just back from a trip;
Flight from #Canberra - #Sydney - #Tamworth, overnight near #Coonabarabran, then drive with a lunch stop at #Molong at 1pm, back to #Bywong at 4pm Saturday.
Why the itinerary? Well I'm glad I pretended you asked.
My partner threw-up suddenly at 3pm Sunday, and now, at 8pm Sunday she's got a lovely #fever.
So, she's caught something horrid, which I've not got (yet?). No respiratory symptoms, no headache, just spew. We've eaten all the same things except for lunch at Molong, but it is 24hrs since then, so ... it's not likely food poisoning.
Mostly only a few people interactions for us both. The planes were barely half-full DASH-8s. Say 25 people in each. No-one obviously sick. But? I #dunno.
What bug is this? Dr. Google has been #rogeredSenseless by LLM AIs. Flutracking has no particular bumps, but yhis one's NOT respiratory, so, they wouldn't, I guess.
Maybe the fedithing can offer their thought.
What virus is #goingAround in #australian #GI tracts these days? #vomit #talkingToGodOnThePorcelainTelephone, #ralph
Hi Australian artists - this is VERY last minute, but it totally doable. #Coonabarabran is having its very first gay pride event and SPACE gallery is supporting the event with an exhibition.
Please boost :D
Another 2012 #coonabarabran #throwback
The LMC and SMC were ridiculously easy to see with the naked eye. And the Eta Carinae nebula was amazing.
