Mein Interrail-Tagebuch wird dieses Jahr 25 Jahre #alt — und somit auch meine erste veröffentlichte Internetseite („Website“, wie die Jugend sagt).

I really, really wish Mastodon supported importing old posts from an old community server and the old community server responding with HTTP 308 Permanent Redirect for old posts to their new URL because #CoolURIsDontChange.

The Friends of Battye Library redesigned their website, and broke the old URLs. :-(

#MyHeritage doesn't really like to make it easy to link to a specific person's profile, does it? They seem to not update URLs as you navigate, and then have quite separate ways of viewing things when you're not logged in. Hard to make links elsewhere! I just want obvious tree and person IDs! #genealogy #coolURIsDontChange
As I have no statistics, I also have no idea who visits my learning resources website (https://ateliers.esad-pyrenees.fr/web/) or who has bookmarked or linked any section or subpage. When moving things around, I do, however, carefully redirect any old URL to the new one, just in case. #CoolURIsDontChange (or if they do, take care)

For 15 days in June, there have already been 26,658 redirects to one single article URL, from one of the old URLs:

26,658 ! 😮

#CoolURIsDontChange or at least there are redirects… 😅

People don't change the default 16px font size in their browser (You wish!)

I am really happy to still read articles that advocate for the use of proportional CSS units as em and rem in 2016. But there are often trolls[1] that come comment these articles to say that we, who are using proportional units, are dumb, because there is no need for this. Here is an...
