Glad I got up earlier than usual and prayed a bit before the peace and quiet in our chapel was disrupted (for a good cause).
The vestibule is now taken over by workmen widening a doorway to install a new chair lift so that our infirm/elderly sisters can get to the chapel.

One problem of living in a convent building built in the 1950s is the stairs to get in and out of chapel. If our house were being built today, we'd make sure that the chapel was wheelchair accessible. But back then—who thought of such things!?
Anywho... tomorrow morning they're coming to put in a new chair lift since our 25+ year old one bit the dust at Easter, and the parts for the new one have *finally* arrived. Thanks be to God!
Tho, this means I've got to get up extra early if I want to pray in peace and quiet before all the installation/construction starts to happen...

Yay! Another day with no new covid positive sisters in the house. Though still quite a few nuns quarantined.
Thanks be to God that no one has had life-threatening symptoms, but still!
