Je pense que le monde qui s'efforce en ce moment de lancer une énième campagne de déchirage de chemise contre Nathalie Wynn (#ContraPoints) ont un gros crisse de problème de priorisation.

Nathalie Wynn a dit des trucs vagues, réfos, démoralisants et déplaisants, mais certainement pas des choses qui vont faire faire des cauchemars supplémentaires aux enfants de #Gaza.

Je sais qu'on peut marcher et mâcher de la gomme en même temps; sauf qu'on est toustes sur le bord du burn-out icitte, à jongler avec plein d'affaires différentes. On a-tu le temps pour ça? Non.

Quand je lis du drama, je veux que ce soit donc un minimum divertissant. Je tiens franchement pas à ce que ça se fasse sur le dos d'un peuple qui se fait exterminer.

Hmm. I read what #ContraPoints wrote about #Palestine on reddit and it seems to be written by someone who knows very little about the history of the racist ideology of Zionism.

It's OK to me that she thinks it would be inappropriate is she made a video on Palestine, that's fine.

But when she says criticism of Israel affects how people think of Jewish people as a whole ... I can only assume she's speaking for herself because she's not speaking for me in that respect.

It's a tepid, middling statement that implies that anti-zionists and people standing in solidarity with Palestine are mostly anti-Jewish racists or at least unknowingly nurturing that kind of racism. In that respect, her statement does some of Israel's propaganda for them.

She also laughably implies the US Democrats would have put pressure on Netanyahu to end the #Genocide after bankrolling it the entire time!

As I've been watching the unfolding drama over #Breadutube and #Contrapoints (non)statement about Palestine and Gaza, there's been many questions coming to mind on the entire phenomenon of 'content creation'. I'm particular intrigued by the Patreon model, about which I've got mixed feelings but can't truly articulate them. Does anyone know about study/research on 'Patreon economies' and can point them to me?

If we're finally trying to make sure we're not unduly silencing trans people now that Contrapoints is being critiqued, we can start by listening to the trans people (and particularly nonbinary trans folk, like myself) who've been talking about how vile and transphobic she is for *years*

OK, so a few people have vague posted about contrapoints saying something bad, but they haven't really said anything other than "it's a bad take" (which is also accurate and fine btw), but it makes it harder for people to see what the actual issue is. For archival purposes, I'm going to post what she said, because I'm personally not going to Instagram, and I regret having had to go to Reddit to learn as much as I did. I'm posting the screenshots of the instragram post she made about why she hasn't made a video on Palestine.

The reason her "takes are bad" are:

• She says most jewish people are zionists, and I just think this is really antisemitic given what zionism means: apartheid at best, genocide at worst.

• She is for apartheid: a state for only Jewish people aka "a Jewish state".

• She blames the left for making her feel bad, because she has to look at dead children.

• She blames the left for highlighting the genocide (and she blames Trump winning on pro-Palestine activists). She sees Kamala not winning as the reason she as a middle class white woman is under threat, when previously she would have been fine
