Trump Administration Stomps All Over The Hatch Act With Shutdown Website Banners And Away Messages
The Hatch Act of 1939 is a beautiful piece of legislation. It disallows all kinds of things, like bribing voters with jobs to vote a certain way, as well as limiting any campaign activity by federa…
"Senate #Democrats have also signalled that there may, in fact, be a #shutdown this time around. Unlike in March, when Mr. Schumer and some members of his caucus provided the votes to avert a government shutdown and paid a political price for it, they appear more willing to stand up to Mr. #Trump this time."
Twelve Days of #ContinuingResolution.
Senate rejects competing bills to fund government, increasing risk of shutdown on Oct. 1.
Is @AssociatedPress #AssociatedPress lying when it says [lying] "Senate #Democratic Leader #ChuckSchumer of #NewYork… has repeatedly threatened a #shutdown if health care isn’t addressed?"
Last time, it was ChuckSchumer who caved and gave in to #Republican bullying on #governmentFunding.
Find out in 12 days whether he is as impotent as ever.
The Senate rejected competing measures to fund federal agencies for a few weeks when the new budget year begins on Oct. 1, increasing prospects for a partial government shutdown on that date. Leaders of the two parties sought to blame the other side for the standoff. Democrats accused Republicans of not negotiating with them to address some of their priorities on health care as part of the funding measure. Republicans said Democrats were making demands that would dramatically increase spending and were not germane to the core issue of keeping the government open. It’s unclear how the two sides will be able to avoid a shutdown.
BAD MOVE: Do not believe Chuck Schumer’s reason for allowing Trump’s continuing resolution!
Sen. Chuck Schumer’s statement that supporting Trump’s continuing resolution was preferable is laughably wrong. It was a capitulation to Trump that tells Republicans that Democrats are timid and can be rolled.

Today is a good day to spot unserious people.
Yesterday, demanding that #Democrats filibuster the #Republican #ContinuingResolution could be motivated by one of two opposite reasons: 1) pressure the party to unite behind a single tactic; 2) amplify division over the tactics.
Now that the filibuster didn't happen, ripping into Democrats who refused to do it can only be motivated by reason #2. These are not serious people.
Serious people are moving on to the next opportunity to unite us.
These are the senators who collaborated with the GOP.
