You can’t do any “fact-finding” on a trip to a dictatorship that’s organised and sanctioned by that very regime. You’ll be shown only what they want you to see, speak to only the people they allow, and end up used as a propagandist prop to legitimise the regime.
Anyone naive enough not to understand that is unfit for politics, especially unfit to “speak truth to power.”
