"No More Searching" (1980) Connie Johnson-Brown

This is track 2 from the 1980 album "I Do". Written by Connie Johnson Connie Johnson-Brown, a gifted songwriter began her career in Gospel music in 1980 with her first Album I Do on the Independent Gospel Recording Label, GTS Records. This debut album, combined the executive production of Adrian Nurse and the musical talent of Bishop Michael Rogers (of the Bibleway Churches Worldwide, Inc.), and the fuel of Connie's prophetic lyrics- giving birth to an awesome mixture of soulful Jazz-laden R & B and Gospel music. This was a rare and unhindered form that was unmatched at that time, allowing Connie to explore her creativity as a songwriter and heed her prophetic voice sharing her testament to the world about commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Though this album was a much more contemporary form of Gospel music than was heard at the time, with its youthful appeal, it had great success appealing to both young and old alike. The second release in 1984 Victory, also on GTS Records was more traditional, and helped Connie capture an audience that not only enjoyed contemporary music, but traditional Gospel music as well. During the release of Connie's first two Albums, she toured Japan, and the U.S. with Jeffrey White and other artists signed to GTS Records. Her dynamic presence on stage was undeniable and when she sang she enveloped you in her ministry. After touring, Connie, decided to take a hiatus and fully live her calling by working with her husband Bishop H.L. Brown, Pastor of the Inside-Outside Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. and to author her very first book- opening up her life, and her lessons learned to assist in saving and restoring lives. Connie also studied Communications at Long Island University and The Johnny Allen School of Broadcasting. She is a licensed FCC Radio Announcer and was Program Director of WTHE in Minneola, New York. After a long hiatus, Connie returned in 2004 with her 3rd CD Can't Breathe Without You. As with her debut album, the listener is given an earful of treats with a tantalizing array of musical blends from traditional to rock. Open your heart to make room for her gift.
