@GrapheneOS I would switch to grapheneOS if I could use it on fairphone because I believe in an absolute right to privacy its not just for abusers. I'm not going to get a phone other than the fairphone because it's more important to me that there is no slavery and conflict minerals used in the phone and the modularity is a nice plus too. So unless grapheneOS supports a phone that has these features I can't ethically justify buying a phone without them just to use it.

@immibis If you need a smartphone Fairphone is not perfect but better because they put great effort into avoiding most conflict minerals but due to supply chain imperfections there is no such thing as perfect here. If you dont need a smartphone then dumb phones that will last much longer are better for environment and workers rights. I'm against overcomsumption more broadly yes
I think that the climate crisis will lead to a devastating shock to modern conveniences and comforts and we should prepare now to limit the height of the fall and as a stretch goal to mitigate the damages of the collapse
