The old laptop that I use to get online just died.Talked to customer service & they concluded it was hardware problem.

RIP 🪦

I knew it was coming & bought a new one in advance in anticipation of that but, of course, I didn't back up anything in advance. 🤷

Only care about the photos. Will take it to akocal recovery shop to see if they can save them.

In the meantime, just plugged in the new computer to chg it up & will set it up 2morrow.

Thank goodness we all have a computer in our pockets/bags now. ☺️

Oh shit! I might have a busted power suply in my PC!

Screen goes dark and GPU fans go 100%!

I found many post saying this is a busted psu. Thermals on GPU and CPU are fine before crashing.

Am i wrong here?

Screwing with this craptop while I listen to football (college #BandDad). I did a quick Debian net install last weekend to test some things and it made me nostalgic from when that was my go-to (personal and professional), so did a fresh install mid week and have been tweaking it in the evenings. With just 4 GB of RAM and a 16 GB eMMC, it's pretty much just emptty, cwm, xterm, DuckDB, PowerShell, Chrome, and lemonbar, plus some standard quality of life command line apps.

I'm enjoying it so much I'm thinking of burning down my desktop again, but I like keeping it in a state that if I were to get hit by a bus (or, more likely, hit a 450 kg moose) my wife could get into whatever she needs. #CommuterProblems become #ComputerProblems.

What a nerve-wracking few hours... tried to change from RAID to AHCI on my PC to install #Linux (because fuck Microsoft), but Windows got stuck on the login screen and then wouldn't even start a clean #Windows11 installation... took me a few tries and some web searching to finally be back where I started... sweet relief, it will be a moment before I dare try that again.🥲🫣😅

Is anyone else having trouble with Duck Duck Go this morning?
