Österreichkarte: Bezirke mit Hitzerisiko werden mehr

Eine neue interaktive Karte zeigt die Hitzebelastung in Österreich. Forschende berechneten für jeden Bezirk und jede Gemeinde einen Belastungsindex für die Jahre 2018 bis 2023. Er berücksichtigt die Anzahl der Hitzetage und den Anteil der Bevölkerung über 65 Jahre. Schon in diesem Zeitraum steigt die Zahl der Risikobezirke, ohne Treibhausgasreduktion wird bis 2050 fast jeder Bezirk sehr stark gefährdet sein.
