"In a 2012 column titled “The Other Scandal in Unhappy Valley,” published on the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s site, Simberg hearkened readers back to “another cover up and whitewash” that he said occurred at the university and involved Mann having “molested and tortured data” to paint a false picture of global warming.
Writing for the National Review, Steyn quoted Simberg’s article, adding: “Not sure I’d have extended that metaphor all the way into the locker-room showers with quite the zeal Mr. Simberg does, but he has a point.”
