@Stege Ich habe mal ein BASIC Buch für den #comodore64 den wir damals hatten gefunden und wollte meine Programiererfahrung damit Sammeln.
Ist irgendwie nichts daraus geworden. Bei dem Buch haben sehr viele Seiten gefehlt. Muss anfang, mitte 1990er gewesen sein.
Hab es dann auch ganz schnell gelassen, weil ich sonst nicht wusste, wo ich sowas her bekommen könnte und weil ich niemanden kannte, der sich damit aus kannte.

#VCFSE in Atlanta was amazing week before last, and I finally got the power supply and video cable to test powering on the #Comodore64 I picked up. It's the first one I've ever owned and I'm looking forward to the repair project. Freaking stoked!
It was listed as having a character ROM issue, which seemed simple enough upon preliminary research. After powering it on though, the symptoms look like they could also be a PLA or color RAM problem.
I haven't had a chance to crack it open yet, hopefully I can this weekend.
Has anyone fixed a similar situation? Do you have any advice?

@textfiles if you think that the #Comodore64 was slow, you should have seen the #ComodoreVic20.
If I remember correctly, it had only about 2 bytes of #RAM memory!🤯
