Les autorités ont rendu hommage aux victimes de la Shoah, assassinées par les nazis et leurs collaborateurs. Six bougies ont été allumées en mémoire des 6 millions de Juifs exterminés, dont un million et demi d’enfants.

En France, 76 000 Juifs, parmi lesquels 11 400 enfants, ont été déportés vers les camps de la mort. Seuls 2 600 ont survécu.

La Shoah ne doit pas devenir un simple souvenir, elle nous engage à un travail de mémoire constant. Se souvenir, c’est lutter contre l’oubli, le négationnisme, la banalisation, et toutes les formes de racisme et d’antisémitisme.
