OK, so migrating a #webcomic from #ComicEasel to #Toocheke retains all the transcripts (but you'll need to do some manual work to make them show up again) but destroys all the character, tag and location info. For even a sub-100-page archive, this is a big downside and honestly the sort of thing that would earn it a bad review.
Once again figuring out how to definitely remove all references to comment functionality from #Wordpress with #ComicPress and #ComicEasel. Maybe this time I'll write the answer down on a piece of paper like some kind of boomer.
I mean, like, the whole plugin uses a Featured Image component to display comics. It knows how to take that information and turn it into a HTML image tag! Why isn't it doing that for cast thumbnails? Instead it outputs an empty table cell (!) and relies on manual CSS to display something in that cell. It boggles the mind. The core of Comic Easel was built in the early 2010s - too late to assume tables for layout, too early to just make CSS do all the things.

Setting up another archive with Comic Easel. This plugin is the most functional I've found for webcomics so far but the documentation is in a terrible state, so much that key features such as the Cast Hover are, in practice, unusable.

There is no info on how to populate the Cast Hover widget with character avatars. If anyone does know, let me know.

Hey quick question for the #webcomic artists with #wordpress or #comicpress #comiceasel
HOW DO I MAKE THE CHAPTERS GO IN THE CORRECT ORDER IN THE ARCHIVE
I know for SURE the order of chapters is correct, it displays correctly in the drop down menus for page/Ch jumping
but then the Archive shows up and CH2 is CONSTANTLY IN THE WRONG SPACE like...it'll go before CH3, then it's the LAST chapter. I made it into one chapter rather than halves. STILL ISSUES
