A pioneer of ranged melee attacks armed only with a few small energy weapons and missiles otherwise, its super electromagnetic yoyo can strike at unexpectedly long distances. Attempts to make a mech-sized garrote failed, unfortunately, due to the high variability of mech head size, placement, and lack of necks.

I don’t often buy stuff just because it looks cool, but that’s exactly what I did with the Soul of Chogokin #CombattlerV (GX-3).

It’s a wonderful figure that epitomizes what the early SoC releases were all about. Classic robots, with generous amounts of die-cast metal parts, that faithfully evoke the original toys but with modern engineering.

I also like how the early SoC releases were fairly small and didn’t command much shelf space.
