Last night we moved on the the head of navigation just below #Coltishall Lock. It was destroyed in the flood of August 1912. The lock channel by-passed Horstead Mill which was burnt down in 1963. There is now a quiet park there with footpaths and benches scattered round it. The photos were taken as the sun was setting.
With temperatures in the mid-twenties forecast for the weekend, we're out on Singing the Blues again. Just had a pizza, courtesy of the Rising Sun, #Coltishall. Now about to move to moorings at the head of navigation, near the lock that was closed after the flood in August 1912.
It's been frighteningly busy over the last week. However, we did eventually get the boat moved the 20.8 miles to our #mooring at #Coltishall. It wasn't without incident. As I dropped the mudweight overboard in #WroxhamBroad the rope gave way (Turns out replacement will cost an alarming £95) Ludham and Wroxham Bridges were negotiated without incident, if a little panic under the latter.
