Welp! It's the last day of March, meaning it's the final day of #ColorectalCancer Awareness Month.

Here are 2 final good resources I recommend everybody read. And remember -- if you are aged 45, PLEASE get a colonoscopy (a screening test for colon cancer). If you have health insurance, the law requires that it be covered!

1️⃣ - Things to Know About Getting a Colonoscopy (PDF) - https://www.cancer.org/content/dam/cancer-org/cancer-control/en/booklets-flyers/7-things-to-know-about-getting-a-colonoscopy.pdf

2️⃣ - "What to Know If Polyps Were Found During Your Colonoscopy" (web article) - https://www.cancer.org/cancer/latest-news/what-to-know-if-polyps-were-found-during-your-colonoscopy.html

The mango flavored Plenvu macrogel certainly is a punchy little number.

If I was crazy rich I would start a business called "clearFood.com" and it would sell clear chewy things to eat before a colonoscopy. You could send people gift boxes to sustain them for a day.

The part of #colonoscopy prep I hate most is the starving

In other news, I have a followup #colonoscopy tomorrow (after they found something precancerous last year).

With anethesia comes a very small chance of death, so if you don't see me posting/boosting in a few days, I thought I'd let you know that Mastodon has been a source of peace and pleasure, a safer kind of social media, and I appreciate all of you.

I guess it's ok to tell you that even if I don't die. :) Keep being awesome.

The unusual finding led to a research written by Francis E. Dailey being published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

Ok, so, for real this time… tomorrow is my first #colonoscopy. I hate writing #colonoscopy but hey, what are ya gonna do?

I’m glad I triple checked my appointment this time!

Also, State of the Union speech is tomorrow, and I’d rather have a colonoscopy than watch that.

*Update: So, everything went well. It was a real nice nap. One quarter-sized polyp removed. They’re sending it for testing but it didn’t look too angry in the photos so I’m hoping it’s benign!

If you watched #TV in the 90s in the #USA you know Carlton Banks from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" played by #AlfonsoRibeiro (and his hilariously cringe Carlton dance)

And you know Dawson Leery from "Dawson's Creek" played by #JamesVanDerBeek (also in "Varsity Blues")

Ribeiro and Van Der Beek were lifelong friends

Alfonso said goodbye to his old friend last week

James died this week of #colorectalCancer
