Fingers crossed tomorrow's EGD and colonoscopy goes well. With any luck, we'll find out why I've been bleeding "down there" for a couple months now, sometimes heavily.

I'm looking forward to being able to eat real food again. I've been so cold for several days now. My poor kitty Belle has had to deal with cold hands on her warm paws in bed.

I went to my first ever hospital admission, for my first ever colonoscopy this morning. My doctor advised me to schedule it just to rule out anything bad. I've been anxious about this the past two weeks while I was away on holiday.

colonoscopy done, uneventful, great nurse who was also originally from Massachusetts and we had a mini-bond over a lot of things.

They only used sedative so I wasn't ever fully out. So I'm a tiny bit groggy and tired now (mainly from the nap I took after!) but fine

apparently they snagged one polyp so we'll have to see what the biopsy is for that

If I was crazy rich I would start a business called "clearFood.com" and it would sell clear chewy things to eat before a colonoscopy. You could send people gift boxes to sustain them for a day.
