Linux Switch Survey – Exploring Interest at Slawit Repair Cafe
Microsoft will soon stop supporting Windows 10. This means any computers/laptops running Windows 10 will become insecure (vulnerable to viruses, malware, hacking), or people will have to buy a new computer even though there's technically nothing wrong with the old one. We're exploring whether there's interest in Slawit Repair Cafe helping people switch their computers over to Linux – a secure, free alternative to Windows. This quick survey will help us understand how much people know about the issue, and whether there's demand for a special Linux-focused event at Slawit Repair Cafe.
Dan Thackeray's play is coming to the Slaithwaite Civic on Saturday 9th August (at 2.30pm). It's also on tour around the Northwest, from next week (and London in October). UK home computer history at its funniest.
